A Navy Petty Officer Jefferson, First Class took time from her day off to speak with our class on Veterans Day. The students were able to ask questions about her job and how the Navy protects and keeps our country safe. Thank you, Petty Officer Jefferson, for your service and for keeping us safe!
One of our pre-k teachers, Mr. Kemp, is a Veteran. He visited Mrs. McClure's 5th grade class as a special guest speaker yesterday for Veteran's Day. He spoke about his experience in the Military and having pride in yourself and exercising self-discipline. This was a great way to learn about Honor and Self Pride from one of our own. Dance classes are available at MAUMELLE HIGH, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH, and SYLVAN HILLS HIGH. The students learn dance basics from ballet, jazz, and tap. Their hard work is showcased at recitals during each semester. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
