What is your WHY? One of our Life Skills teachers, Mrs. Dunlap, shared this story about her "why."
One of her students is very quiet and keeps to himself. She says it is very difficult for him to initiate any conversation or activities with his classmates. Over the years, they've worked on acceptance of others and being kind even when things are unpleasant or overwhelming.
One day last week, this student initiated play with another student who needed a friend! He spent his afternoon helping and playing with my her! His smile says it all.
Thank you, Mrs. Dunlap for sharing this story!
