Sylvan Hills Elementary was one of 7 schools to exit ADE'S Section 1003. In order to achieve this, the schools must have continuous growth in their subpopulations.
Because of this, SHES had the opportunity to present our work to 400 Arkansas educators about our school's growth and provided them with ideas they could use.
Presenters included Bethany Christopher (3rd grade teacher), Ryan Tillar (2nd grade teacher), and Britney Hickman (principal).
Thoughtful Thursday: In addition to working on education skills this summer, also spend time teaching kids to be kind. PBS Kids recommends focusing on recognizing/labeling emotions like happy, sad, curious, disappointed.
