In celebration of Black History Month, we were inspired to highlight our African American Comets at Mills Middle School. Today we are celebrating Officer Bolden!
Officer Bolden has been in the educational system for 8 years. His favorite part about working at Mills Middle School is being able to build relationships with scholars and being a positive role model for our young men!
Outside of school, Officer Bo Coaches a 7 vs. 7 football team, manages a 5 vs. 5 football league, trains athletes, cooks, and spends time with his daughter and son.
Someone who inspires him is his previous coach, George Shelter. Mr. Shelter taught him a way to make money outside of playing football. His quote was "As long as you do right by kids, you'll forever have a job in the school system."
Officer Bo is essential to our building, scholars, teachers, and staff and WE APPRECIATE HIM!

In celebration of Black History Month, we were inspired to highlight our African American Comets at Mills Middle School.
Today, we are highlighting Ms. Gordon! She has been involved with education for 3 years now.
Ms. Gordon does some of everything at MMS: FACS, Business Innovation, Leadership Service, Exploring Personal Finance, AND Yearbook!
What inspired her to be an educator was after working as a manager of WalMart and hiring high school students who could not read, write or do simple adding and subtracting she saw a need and decided to see if she could be of help to those that need it and was willing to accept it.
She loves Baking, Crafting, watching tv, spending time with her granddaughter, and traveling as often as she can.
A person who inspired her is Ms. Maya Angelou.
WE love Ms. Gordon here at Mills Middle School!
