October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. This month we raise awareness about the abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome. This holiday has been celebrated since the 1980s. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. The International Dyslexia Association reports that up to 20% of the population may have symptoms of dyslexia, including slow or inaccurate reading, weak spelling, and poor writing. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


Don't forget! Maumelle High School will host a groundbreaking ceremony TONIGHT at 5 p.m. (before the game) for its upcoming "Building for the Future" projects. Construction is set to begin this fall on a new track, indoor practice facility, softball field, and baseball field.

Fun Fact: I was valedictorian of my high school class with a 4.0 gpa. I wrote my speech in In School Suspension where I spent my last 3 days of school.
