April is Scottish-American Heritage Month where we celebrate the contributions of Scottish-Americans to our modern society. In 1998, Jason Emory Nickerson designed the Arkansas Traveler Tartan, which is listed on the Scottish Tartans World Register.


MAUMELLE HIGH administrators, staff and baseball players had a throwback celebration for the Oak Grove High Hornets last week. The current high school opened 10 years ago, but we are thankful for high standards set by Oak Grove High. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


Let's get fired up for testing!!! Maumelle High school is proud to be the host of the first ever ACT Aspire Maumelle feeder pep rally! Students who will be taking the ACT Aspire next week are invited to Maumelle High on Friday, April 22 at 1pm for a pep rally to get hyped up for the upcoming test. We invite families to attend as well. We'll have special guests and performances during this one hour event.


Big things are happening for Maumelle High cheerleaders! We have two exciting shout outs:
Courtney Blackwell, a senior DRIVEN student, was presented with a $2,500 academic and service scholarship. Courtney plans to attend UAPB in the fall. This is only the second time that a scholar from Maumelle has received this award!
Another big congrats goes out to senior Ryno Stevenson! On Monday (4/18/22) she signed with A-State Red Wolves to continue her education and cheer for the Red Wolves. Wolves up, Ryno!

9 PCSSD high school students attended the Little Rock Regional Chamber's Cultivate Women's Business Series - Building Up STEAM. In a world where women have more opportunities than ever before, they remain underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
