Shout out to our very own Isabella Quirarte-Franco for earning the 2023 Global Seal of Biliteracy. The Global Seal of Biliteracy is an international credential that conveys proficiency with language skills in two or more languages for qualifying candidates. This credential offers a competitive advantage by helping bilingual individuals earn scholarships, higher pay, advanced placement and so much more. Isabella is the ONLY student in the entire District to earn this recognition. Congratulations!

Maumelle High hosted the annual DECA/Life Skills Halloween Carnival earlier this week. The DECA students from Maumelle High set up carnival booths for the life skills students from Maumelle High and Maumelle Middle. Students played games at the carnival and then went trick-or-treating around the school.

Six students from Maumelle High School earned a chair in the All-Region Choir, of which two are eligible to audition for the All-State Choir in February. We're so proud of these students for their hard work.

Today is celebrated as the Day of the Dead (el Día de los Muertos). This is a widely recognized Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink and celebration. #pcssdproud #serveall
